Rev. Mawia and Chuck Wilder met recently to draft plans for the future of the church’s internet website (ontariostreetumc.org). This valuable asset has lain dormant for far too long.
For our presence on the World Wide Web to have real significance, it is crucial that we approach it with purpose, keeping our information up to date, and utilizing it as an active channel to effectively convey our identity and the services we provide to our Mizo-American United Methodist community. We feel it should be attractive, easy to navigate, and provide timely and interesting information in the languages our congregation uses.
We are looking for more people who can become involved in the development and ongoing use of the site. You don’t need to be a “programmer” to contribute to the development and/or ongoing publishing that will be done here, but training is available for any role you are interested in.
If you feel drawn to the ministry of communicating with
- people looking for a church,
- those curious about who we are,
- and with our own church family,
be thinking about what you can contribute and what information you’d like to see here.
Look for the upcoming announcement of a meeting with all those interested to share and discuss what we’d like this website to look like and contain.
